About our Beef
The Marek family takes pride in raising high-quality livestock for high-quality experiences. Many meals have been spent enjoying farm-raised Iowa beef and now that beef is available for others.
The cattle are a Hereford-Angus cross that combines great meat quality and palatability. An emphasis has been put on matching up the best genetics to bring the best quality meat straight from an Iowa farm. The cows graze on pasture that surrounds the farm and is an important part of the family’s mission of land stewardship and sustainability. Rotational grazing and cover crops are used in row-crop fields to provide nutrients to the land while creating a sustainable food source for the cattle.
The cattle are grown in our pastures and then finished on a corn-based grain ration that gives the meat the flavor we desire. After close to 15 months, the cattle are processed at a local, state-inspected locker.
